Alexh1 3 Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Lots of junk channels in the guide display w/o guide data, can these be removed?
denz 501 Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 If you are using hdhomerun then you need to disable them there using my.hdhomerun.com
Alexh1 3 Posted March 11, 2019 Author Posted March 11, 2019 Thanks, No way to do this for PCI tuners yet I assume?
denz 501 Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 What are you using a dvr plugin or Hauppauge. You need to give more information than it is much easier for people to help you.
Alexh1 3 Posted March 12, 2019 Author Posted March 12, 2019 (edited) Hauppage PCI tuner - I had no way of knowing that channel removal would be dependent on the source. It should probably simply be in the LiveTv setup, perhaps check boxes in the map list. Also, I hate to complain but this should have been thought of BEFORE the PCI tuner plugin was removed because it had this feature. LiveTv was actually just fine with the plugin, it actually went a step backwards on removal. Edited March 12, 2019 by Alexh1
Carlo 4560 Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 There is a work around but it's a bit time consuming. Edit the metadata for each channel you don't want to see in Emby. Add a tag such as HIDE. Then for each user in parental code add HIDE tag to a filter. Now you won't see those channels. This is a handy way to make some channels like HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, etc as ADULT in order to filter them out for kids as well. 1
