Why is there no apk download link for the android tv version?

In https://emby.media/emby-for-android-tv.html, there only a google play addr, havn't a direct download link(My tv box can't visit google play, so I even download new version with apkpure, a little trouble)

If you can't access the play store are you even running Android TV. Only a handful of boxes come with official Android TV, others come with a modified version of touchscreen Android OS. What box have you?

Yeah that runs a modified version of touchscreen Android OS from a touchscreen tablet. The ordinary Android version is what you need to sideload.

 

Android TV that runs on the Nvidia Shield and Xiaomi Mibox is a whole different OS and looks and handles completely different. It's designed from the ground up for use on a large screen TV with a D-pad remote. They are also certified by Google and Netflix.
