Description of options in "Auto Organize"

As there is no wiki or thread related to the addon, I have to ask here.

 

Can someone explain the options in the addon?

What does "extended clean" do?

What does "auto-detection" do more? Do I have to click "organize" manually otherwise?

How to setup deletion of left over files? I added "*.nfo" in the box but without success.

Which library is selected if there are more than one for tvshows?

Hi, no, you don't. The auto-organize scheduled task will run every 10 minutes and check the watch folder for new files.

Try removing the *

 

 

 

Which library is selected if there are more than one for tvshows?

 

It only organizes to existing series folders, so it finds the series folder you already have.

Hi, unfortunately I don't know the answer to this. Auto-Organize is a community contributed plugin.

never used auto detect, i always assumed AO would try to create the show/movie folder in the library and move/copy the media into it..have always avoid due to the 'beta nature' of the text descriptor

 

extended clean will do more than just delete empty folders in the source folders, extended clean (possibly related to 'delete left over files' field) will delete other (non video) files in the source folder

 

until ao is able to move video related files like external subtitles i would avoid 'extended clean'.

 

not a complete answer but may get you started.
