gerry.emm 10 Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Hi everyone, I know I'm likely the odd man out, but I figure it's worth at least asking... I have added the "Ici Tou.tv" plug-in to my EMBY server. I can see all the content offered by this on-demand service, but any time I try to play any of it, I get a message saying "No stream available". I did a bit of research online, and from what I can gather, Radio Canada (the broadcaster) has made changes to their service. I was looking in the plug-ins descriptions forum, and the last / only entry for this plug-in dates back to 2014. There isn't likely to be any support for this plug-in, but I'd like to hear from anyone that may be using it successfully within EMBY, and how you made it work. I downloaded the app on my android based phone, and the content is still being offered, and it does stream it to my phone, so I'm curious as to whether it can be made to work again in EMBY. I look forward to hearing from anyone having any insights for me. Again, thanks in advance to anyone being able to assist!!! I really DO appreciate it. Gerry
chacawaca 109 Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 i think you need a ip from Canada to play content, i can try this plugin later and confirm if its work or not.
Luke 42077 Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Ok yea i was going to say, i've never been able to play from it because i thought it was region locked.
chacawaca 109 Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 it dont work, but plugin ask for a token and i dont find a way to get a token from "ici tou.tv". Probably they have change the way to log to their api, you probably now need your username password to log or something like that.
delianmc 0 Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 (edited) This plugin use to work a while ago. Tou.tv updated their site a couple of time since then. It's no longer working att all. I lives it Montreal so it's definitively not a question of region locking for me. If someone have access to the source of the plugin I would be interested to attempt to fix or update it. I just don't have the time to start a new plugin from scratch. (Or I'm just too lazy) Edited August 24, 2019 by delianmc
delianmc 0 Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 OK found the source It was way easier to find than I thought. I'll take a look at it. Not sure of the result... Vacations are ending today. I'll get a lot less time to play with it.
chacawaca 109 Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 if you can get it work that would be nice.

chacawaca 109 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 @@Luke i contacted tou.tv and they dont provide an API anymore, this plugin will never work again, i think you can just remove it.
Luke 42077 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Thanks for the info. We'll take care of that.

I will contact them. over and over and over. You cannot provide an API and just drop its support like that. I'll harass them no end. Emby is well conceived and supported. All of the (crappy, btw) Tou.TV clients I've seen so far are buggy to the point of annilihating any user experience (don't get me started on the XBox app), for once we had a functionning one... Luke 42077 Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 Does Tou.Tv have an rss feed? Because that could be another easy way, just by importing the rss into the podcast plugin.
