hotwheelzffx 20 Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 (edited) Version 4.1.0.12 beta I have a Music library configured with all of the metadata tagging and downloading turned off. In the interface I have a couple of oddities/annoyances shown in the screenshots. in Tags.png you can see that I have Artist, Title, Album (marked here as "_Singles" and Album Artist (marked here as "Various Artists") filled in as suggested in other posts in these forums. in Browser.png you can see I have a _Singles folder for some reason tagged with the artist of Alt-J, that's not a huge deal for me. However, You can see that several songs have the artist of Piroshka even though they belong to other artists. When you pull up the metadata for a song (metadata.png), you can see the full path, the correct artist and title, but album artist is Piroshka. I thought maybe I had some bad data/tags and removed my old library and re-added it with a different library name (Jukebox vs Music). Is something amiss with my tags, configuration or other? You can see this has happened several times in different ways; see metadata2.png My folder structure is typically E:\_Music\Artist - Album\Track# - Title.mp3 except for E:\_Music\_Singles\Artist - Title.mp3 I'll restructure if I have to; to make it work properly. But, I feel like tags are being ignored or read improperly. Edited March 6, 2019 by hotwheelzffx
hotwheelzffx 20 Posted March 6, 2019 Author Posted March 6, 2019 Ignore or Delete this topic. It seems like it fixed itself. I did a database VACUUM, etc, changed my Album Artist to Artist and rebooted.
Luke 42089 Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 How to vacuum your Emby server database: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/75510-42032-vacuum-database-config-switch/ Thanks.
