OzBlackKnight 0 Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 My problem is that there are hundreds of instances where the exact same actor is pointed to 2 different locations within the library database. eg. \\XXXXXX\MediaBrowser3\ImagesByName\metadata\People\J\Johnny Depp & \\XXXXXXX\Mediabrowser3\metadata\People\J\Johnny Depp How do I go about editting the library to remove all the links to the ImagesByName folder, which is empty anyway?
OzBlackKnight 0 Posted March 4, 2019 Author Posted March 4, 2019 Yes. When you go to say Pirates Caribbean 1, Johnny Depp is shown as only appearing in say one other movie, but none of the other Pirate movies. If you click on Pirates Caribbean 2, Johnny is in say 8 other movies including Pirates 3 & 4, but not in Pirates 1.
Luke 42085 Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Can you try refreshing the metadata on all of those movies and see if that helps? thanks.
OzBlackKnight 0 Posted March 4, 2019 Author Posted March 4, 2019 Just refreshed all metadata again on several movies. The actor metadata path still points to the blank ImagesByName folder, causing the same issue.
Luke 42085 Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Ok, another thing you can try is removing all of the media that this actor appears in, then run a full library scan, then add the media back.
OzBlackKnight 0 Posted March 5, 2019 Author Posted March 5, 2019 Not keen on that idea as it is not just this actor but 100's of them, so would need to remove all my media.I've been using EMBY since day dot Was hoping a database guru could advise how to use sqlite3 to replace \\XXXXXX\MediaBrowser3\ImagesByName\metadata\ with \\XXXXXX\MediaBrowser3\metadata\, assuming that this would work. Even better would be if someone created a plugin similar to Studio Cleaner that fixed not just problems like this but also where the same actor had been named slightly differently. Thanks for the advice so far.
Luke 42085 Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Yea then this will have to be done in the database. The issue is that although the server now does a much better job of preventing this situation, it will not clean these kinds of things up that have been created by older versions. Thanks.
OzBlackKnight 0 Posted April 26, 2019 Author Posted April 26, 2019 Just getting back onto this. Does anyone have advice on exactly HOW I use SQLite to edit the database? Cheers
