domenic 33 Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 Hi the vnsi plugin for Kodi is a PVR connection to VDR (yes there already is an Emby plugin I know hold tight for the question). Both server and client code is available. It of course communicates over a TCP connection consisting of custom commands to communicate requests to VDR and to play the video stream. Where is the definition of the inbound video stream defined for emby? I know the existing plugin uses an http:// url that ffmpeg supports, but is there different ways to accept video into emby? Some example code out there? Domenic
domenic 33 Posted March 2, 2019 Author Posted March 2, 2019 (edited) utilize the vnsi server service running on vdr and build a plugin to connect to it. The streamdev plugin which exposes the vdr video stream used by the existing emby vdr plugin is poorly maintained. and has troubles with the stream it presents. Edited March 2, 2019 by domenic
Luke 42077 Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 Ok, since I don't know VDR at all I don't really understand much of that, but i can help with the Emby side of things. Thanks.
