Dan_Austin 71 Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 A search did not show either of these, but that might be due to terminology. The first is to streamline the guide behavior. If the program selected is in the current timeslot just tune it. If in the future, offer to record. I rarely encounter a program that is currently playing that I want to record, I just want to watch it. Make it an option in the client if others feel the multi-click process is preferred. The second has to do with incomplete or corrupted recordings. It would be handy to be able to tag the program for re-recording. The last DVR I used could display upcoming episodes in the series and offer each for manually selected recording. With only 14 days of guide data, this may not be viable, but would be super sweet if possible.

Keep in mind people use the DVR features differently. I for example may not want to tune the channel even in the current time slot but might want to record it instead for watching later. Especially on a mobile phone when I have to pay for data usage. Regardless if I watch it now or record and watch it later I'm still going to start X minutes into the time slot. Nothing lost by recording it and watching it later. The second has to do with incomplete or corrupted recordings. It would be handy to be able to tag the program for re-recording. It doesn't presently do any conflict resolution so it can easily miss what you have setup. For example 3 shows recorded at 8pm to record but you only have 2 tuners. Something isn't getting recorded.
Sammy 790 Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 You can directly tune from the guide by using the play button on your remote. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk
