Metadata location

Hi,

I was looking at the location that metadata is stored but found it only contains pictures. Where is metadata stored, eg description, series, cast etc?

If you don't write nfo files with media, metadata is only stored in the library.db.  Images that are not saved with media are store in a id folder in \metadata\library\xx\xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

In the server's program data folder, then /data/library.db

Right... So there's not really an easy way to backup that up on Synology then?

The trouble is, I'm trying to backup metadata etc but I don't want all the mess of the extra files in with the media!

This will not backup library contents and metadata. To keep a permanent copy of metadata, we suggest enabling saving of local metadata to media folders.
