DLNA access over the internet

Hi to all,

 

I have my emby server hosted and connections are done over SSL. I have a linux media box which i would like to connect to my emby server.

since there is no Client for linux media boxes i was wondering if there is a secure way to connect the box via DLNA.

Please advice

I'm confused why you cannot just use a browser/SSL on your linux client - firefox maybe ?

 

DLNA is a lan based protocol and has ZERO authentication so even if possible, my advice is to use the SSL configuration you have already successfully setup.

Hello rbjtech, my box does not have a browser, it is a mediabox with limited apps.  I am trying to find an alternative way to connect to emby servrer.

Currently dlna over the internet is not possible.
