Chyron 256 Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 I have been adding various audiobooks to Musicbrainz and TheAudioDB, but they are not appearing as results when I attempt to Identify my media in Emby. These were created by me, but a search for "Columbus Day" or even the exact Musicbrainz ID yields no matches. Also, I have found that album art from Musicbrainz doesn't populate in the Identify pane. Why is that? Does Emby not pull art from Musicbrainz? How long must an entry exist in Musicbrainz or TheAudioDB before Identify can find it?
Luke 42096 Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 The music brainz search api does not include images, that's why there are none there.
Chyron 256 Posted February 27, 2019 Author Posted February 27, 2019 The music brainz search api does not include images, that's why there are none there. Okay. How long does an entry have to exist on theaudiodb before images from it can populate in Emby?
Luke 42096 Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 Not long but I don't think that's implemented in audio db as a standalone identification. It is all dependent on music brainz ids, so too those values in and then audio db will be queried.
Chyron 256 Posted March 1, 2019 Author Posted March 1, 2019 Okay, so it populated this morning. But while images do appear in Edit Images, they do not appear in Identify.
Luke 42096 Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 Again that's because the music brainz search api does not include images. Thanks.
Chyron 256 Posted March 18, 2019 Author Posted March 18, 2019 Again that's because the music brainz search api does not include images. Thanks. If that is the case, I suggest changing the layout of that search results pane to a list rather than thumbnails, so that it doesn't mistakenly look like art is missing. Plus a list would perhaps allow more results or more detail about each result, as opposed to wasting screen real estate on image boxes that don't and won't populate.
