Disable metadata retreivel/folder creation for DVR?

I appreciate how emby automatically creates show and season folders for recording with the DVR. But is there a way to disable this?

I have MCEbuddy stripping the commercials and creating a new .TS, it then dumps the file into a folder called "ready to encode". I then run the stuff I like to keep through handbrake and it dumps the encodes into a folder called "ready to move"

Auto organize is set up to move those files to their proper location.

The problem I am having is auto organize sees the leftover folder in the default DVR folder, and instead of sending the show to my TV shows library puts it back into the recording folder.

TL:DR Is there any way to have emby record and just safe the file with no metadata and folder creation?

Edit# I have disabled all the metadate fetchers for the recording folder under library on the server dashboard. But I don't think that will stopemby from creating custom folders.

I've got a similar work flow I use for DVR stuff as well but don't use auto organize.  For me the issue is that the empty folders still show up in the Recording Library even when there are no TS files left.  This stems from the same issue as you, using MCEBuddy ONLY for commercial cutting and MOVING the file to the next work flow which leaves abandoned files/folders.

Yeah thats the problem, its making a bunch of folders in a temporary section. With no way to adjust anything.

I guess a solution could be record to the TV shows permanent library, have mcebuddy pull that file from there, and in the end it will put it back.

The problem with that is emby was identifying a couple shows wrong, so I was getting duplicate folders for a show, which I had to fix every time an episode was recorded.

There's currently no way to disable this, but it's possible for the future. thanks.
