Just wanted to say that the emby server portable app is wonderful.  My media server mangled it's boot drive over the week end and because i had all my media backed up on external usb3 mediasonic pro box, i was able to map the usb drives in the same windows config as the internal drives of the server on a second PC.  Then i installed the portable app on the second pc and within 20 minutes, i was up and running again .  Man is that cool !  After i setup the boot drive on the the server , i used a copy of the same portable install, which pointed to the correct drive letters and i was up on the server in a few seconds.  This is really a cool feature.  i now have the portable server installed on one of the media drives in the pro box and all i have to do is re letter the drives when i connect to any pc to whats stored in the data base, run the portable app and i can be have a truly portable media server with databse , plugins and playlists intact.  By the way, i don't think i will reinstall my plex server on the media server again.  Emby has been working fine next to it for over a year and i like it better.  Again many thanks for a great program !!

Sure, Emby itself is self contained now, but library paths are the issue.
