zsurfaraz 4 Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 Hi When playing some movies, the server plays for approx 15mins give or take and then the movie freezes. Even if you go back and restart the movie same problem. I didn't have this issue previously and updated and this began.

Hi Luke, Thanks for getting back to me. I have attached the logs. The issue is the movie freezes after a few minutes of playing. I have the same issue through the browser or emby theatre app. embyserver log 23-02-2019.txt ffmpeg log 23-02-2019.txt hardware detection 23-02-2019.txt
Luke 42078 Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 Can you try something that is not an avi? see how that compares. Thanks.
zsurfaraz 4 Posted February 23, 2019 Author Posted February 23, 2019 Hi Luke, I have tried a different file mkv on 2 different machines. On machine it plays but there is no scroll bar telling you progress off movie and if you pause and go back to the main screen it does not save progress. on the other machine it has the same problem at different moments of playback. please see logs attached. Thanks, embyserver log2 23-02-2019.txt ffmpeg log2 23-02-2019.txt hardware detection2 23-02-2019.txt
Luke 42078 Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 This is not an mkv. Is this a bluray folder rip? It looks like an m2ts.
zsurfaraz 4 Posted February 23, 2019 Author Posted February 23, 2019 Hi Luke, I have checked the properties of the file and it is mkv file type. It gives item typee as MKV file. Hope this helps. If you like I can pm you the properties tab screenshot.
zsurfaraz 4 Posted February 24, 2019 Author Posted February 24, 2019 Hi Luke, I have attempted to replace the avi file with a mkv file. this has come in 2 parts, so I have named it as MOVIE NAME (YEAR)-cd1 and MOVIE NAME (YEAR)-cd2. Upon doing this the file now plays however it only recognizes cd1 and not cd2. File stacking does not seem to work anymore. Is there a way to roll back to 4.0.0.2, since this was working perfectly for me.

zsurfaraz 4 Posted February 26, 2019 Author Posted February 26, 2019 Hi Luke, Just a quick update. I have resolved the issue by deleting the library and re-adding the library. This seems to have resolved the playback issue I was having, i have test different movies to make sure this is resolved and all play well. Only 2 things I have noticed, firstly all my movies are no longer in collections. Can I just copy across the old collections file again? Also where can I configure collections to show in movies rather than individual titles?
Luke 42078 Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 To learn how to migrate collections, please check out our wiki: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Collections-%E2%80%93-Manual-Migration Thanks.
