What happens to existing series timers if switch to Emby guide?

I am not sure how series timers internally works, but, not using the Emby guide. If I decide to use it, will all existing series timers work? i.e., perhaps the names are slightly different in different guides, concerned things would not record. Or, is it really as simple as switching guide providers to emby and everything will just work?

If you change guide data you should remove the series recordings and set them back up again.

I was using schedules direct prior to the new built in emby guide data. My series recording timers switched over just fine. I setup emby's new guide data first before I removed schedules direct.
