Latest Movies No Longer Showing

Recommended Posts

I have added about 10 new movies so far today, all of which show in the actual library, but none of which show in the Latest Movies section on the main page.

last 2 movies I added today were Super Batman Apocalypse (2010) and Justice League: War (2014) between 1230 and 1245 PM EST today, but latest does not show them

have you checked their date added values and compared them to your other titles?

I hadn't but did and could see the added dates were from previous years....what is that date based on? And what determines how a movie goes into the latest movie section?

The date created timestamp of the file. If you go into the metadata editor it will tell you how to customize the date added behavior. The help text is right underneath the date added field. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

I'm having the exact same issue. I've added a few movies in the past few days and non showed up in Latest Movie.  I've compared the metadata with the newly added and the last movies that did show in Latest Movie. It seems the time stamp on the folder for the newly added movies is the correct date and time. However the time stamp on the actual movie files have random dates.

Hi, I'm afraid you'll either have to edit the date added, or change your date added behavior in advanced library settings. The server is working as designed in your case.

Any idea on why this started happening? it was working fine up until the last update.

Nothing changed, the date added comes from the following places in order of priority:

  • the added value from your nfo/xml metadata file
  • the date created timestamp of the file, not the folder
