No record/Guide Info missing

Occasionally I find that Emby has missed one or more recordings.  It doesn't happen often, and I was unsure as to why it was happening.  However, tonight it missed recording ABC World News Tonight and my local news that follows it, on the same local channel.

 

When I looked at the guide I saw that no program information was loaded for my local ABC channel (the one I was recording from), and there was also no guide data for the corresponding cable channel.  The specific channels are channel 30.1 (OTA) and cable channel 703 (Comcast).  My tuners are HD Homerun and I get the guide data through Schedules Direct.  I was recording both programs as series programs on OTA channel 30.1.

 

I'm assuming the problem lies with Schedules Direct, in that for some reason the guide data for those channels didn't make it into the download.

 

These programs that I record are daily programs.  So am I correct in assuming Emby looks at the guide data occasionally and if what I set up for recording isn't found in the current guide it simply drops it?  If this is true, is there a way for Emby to alert me somehow that a program scheduled to record simply disappears upon reload of the guide in a 24 hour period?

 

I did see in the Emby log where, following the download of the schedules, all the timers are updated.  In this instance it happened in the 14:00 hour.  After the download it appears Emby went through a routine to schedule recordings based on matching guide data.

 

I did not see any obvious errors detected by Emby with the Schedules Direct data, so I'm assuming the guide data was just not there.

 

I guess what I'm asking, is there any way to either enable Emby to detect that guide data for a particular channel (particularly those with active recordings scheduled) is missing after a download, so either it can be reported or possibly Emby can schedule another download of the guide data in say, 1 hour?  (just wondering out loud).

I should mentioned that, even after I scheduled another download of guide data from Schedules Direct, the guide data is still missing from those two channels.  I think I will need to let Schedules Direct know.  Since it's still happening they may not know about the issue.

 

Edit:  Hmmm, after a SECOND re-download the data is now there.  Not sure why it took two downloads to fix the problem, but the channels are back in the guide now.
