Cover art shading

I suddenly have shading around the covers. Shouldn't it be transparent?

yea i get that for cover art fans it may not look great. we'll have to figure something out. but in all other cases the image containers should have backgrounds, otherwise when you're dealing with images of differing shapes it's hard to tell what's what due to all of the white space.

To be clear, it doesn't look like that in the web app. It's transparent.

Right and that's being changed for the reason i mentioned above.

I may just have to not rotate the covers, to limit how much shading there is, or just not use cover art. I'll play around with it.
