Htpc0 5 Posted February 17, 2019 Posted February 17, 2019 I noticed that for some HDR movies, Emby plays them back in a washed out way, compared to other media players (e.g. VLC). This is true on the Nvidia Shield, Apple TV, and my HTPC Specs for the movie: 2160p.BluRay.x265.10bit.HDR.DTS-HD.MA.TrueHD.7.1.Atmos
vdatanet 1617 Posted February 17, 2019 Posted February 17, 2019 There's this problem with Shield and cropped movies: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/60362-shield-atv-hdr/ Apple TV doesn't play fine 4K HDR, it doesn't trigger HDR. I hope I support it soon.

Anything less than that is considered "cropped" and does not trigger HDR when played back via some of the Emby apps.
Htpc0 5 Posted February 16, 2020 Author Posted February 16, 2020 Does anyone know if this has been fixed yet? Especially on the an Nvidia Shield
vdatanet 1617 Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Yes, this is fixed. Update your nvidia shield to latest firmware. 1
