washed out HDR image

I noticed that for some HDR movies, Emby plays them back in a washed out way, compared to other media players (e.g. VLC). This is true on the Nvidia Shield, Apple TV, and my HTPC

 

Specs for the movie:

2160p.BluRay.x265.10bit.HDR.DTS-HD.MA.TrueHD.7.1.Atmos

Apple TV doesn't play fine 4K HDR, it doesn't trigger HDR. I hope I support it soon.

What is the resolution of that movie, 3840x2160 ?

 

Anything less than that is considered "cropped" and does not trigger HDR when played back via some of the Emby apps.

Yes, this is fixed. Update your nvidia shield to latest firmware.
