Musicvideos and MusicBrainz Sraper

Hi there,

All my musicvideos are scraped with Musicbrainz Picard and so own in the tags all Musicbrainz IDs for Artist / Release / Title and so on.

 

In Kodi I can add my Musikvideo.mp4 with the advancedsettings.xml to the musiclibrary. And then the Universal Album Scraper and Universal Artist Scraper collect the information from Musicbrainz and even the fanart for my musicvideos.

 

Is there a similar solution in Emby Server to scrape musicvideos from Musicbrainz? To add my musicvideos in emby under the Library as Typ Music doesn’t work.

Hi there, we don't currently use musicbrainz for music videos, but the idea has been brought up before. I think it's a good idea for the future. Thanks.

thanks for your return. How near is this „Future“?

 

I think that this is a great advantage to pull Tags for Music from Musicbrainz and also pull Tags for musicvideos from Musicbrainz. So you have identically Tags for both (Same name for artist, title and so on). And without any work you can retag the Musikvideos to update the Tags and pull fanart, Plots and artwork. So please, add this feature in the near future.
