Lost watched status when backing up

Hi,

I just backup up my Emby folder according to the tutorial however after installing the server on the new device, starting it once, copying back the old folders and adding my library, all watched status are gone.

 

How can I get them back? I backup up the complete original folder including all subfolders.

PS. Previous installation is the same version as the new installation however I did notice the paths have changed a bit. Previously it was C:\Users\htpc\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\ but on the fresh install its C:\Users\htpc\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\.

Edit: Things like collections are not recognized either. The only thing that seemed to have worked is copying the users.

The library.db contains all userdata.  Has a library scan finished after the move?  As for Collections have you verified the paths in the collection.xml files are correct?

Turns out I previously had the path to my NAS in caps so that is why the watched status didn't get picked up. Easy fix.

PS. I believe this is a known issue, but the collections image isn't generated anymore.

I tried that a couple of times but Emby isn't generating the collections image. Where is this file supposed to be saved? I'll see if I can copy back the one from my backup.

These dynamic images reside in \metadata\library and are not easy to find without knowing their item id.

 

 

So finding them in a backup will be almost impossible.  You can find the image path in a old database if you have one.
