Change media library folder

Hi

Thanks for your work on Emby ! It's really good !

My video were on the "volume 1" disk. So the folders of my media librairies are like "/volume1/videos/..."

I got a crash and I moved the "videos" folder in another disk. Let's say "volume2". I cannot rename it in volume1 (or I don't know how)

But emby libraries still search on volume1.

I think I could just change the url of thr folder but it cannot be modified.

And if I add new folder, it will calculate new metadata and erase mine.

I've noticed that lots of files of the "@appstore/embyserver" folder in my synology have the direct mention of "volume1".

Is there a way, with Emby or putty, to replace in those files every mention of volume1by volume2 ?

Thanks

Hi, try going into emby library setup. Remove the old folder, then add the new one. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

Hello @@redd-lille

What kind of volume was 'volume1'? How did you have it configured in Storage Manager?

Ideally you'd repair the volume and then return the content to its original location, from backup if necessary.

Best

Actually, it destroys the medatas.

Metadata refresh is compulsory, and it's remove the custom metadata.

The disk were not repairable, unfortunately.

It was a basic volume.

ok, I've noticed that I've got this issue only with librairies where Metadatas are not stored into media folders.

For these one, I've modified manually the metadatas.

Yes this is a destructive operation. Apologies for the inconvenience.
