Hide Shows w/ No Episodes (not just unwatched)

After watching an episode of a show, I delete the episode as I have no use for it. When there are zero episodes -present-, I still the show shown in the library.

 

I don't want to use the option to only show unwatched shows because there are some times when I -will- keep an episode around (or I might only watch part of the episode and its status will change).

 

So, how do I get the Show Title to disappear once I've deleted all of the episodes of that show? I don't want to actually delete the Show's folder because there will be more episodes in the future...

I found this post while trying to hunt down how to do this exact thing. If the folder doesn't contain any episode media files I would like it to hide from view. It's been 5 years since this post, is this still planned???

Sorry can you elaborate but empty season folder allow the show to remain visible.  If you have no season/specials folder the show will be removed from Emby.  As I add the season/specials folder to remain in Emby.

I see. So I can't have a Specials folder with existing image files for Posters or backdrops or anything in it. Even though there are no -video- files, it will still display the show on Emby. I don't understand the implementation of this since I have shows that I delete Specials from once I watch them but want to keep the source image files for future grabs. Emby should just look at the database and if the Show contains no video files we should be given the -option- to hide it. There are also cases where I want all shows displayed so that I can update cover art. Hiding or displaying needs a better function call and should be a toggle.

You can ignore a folder by placing a .ignore file in the folder.

The catch-22 as there are just as many that do not want empty Series to show as want them to show.  As I add season or specials folder for all upcoming/new shows as I want it to appear and be tracked via upcoming.  

If just a series folder is removed all tracking/upcoming is lost as it is no longer a Series in the database until a episode is readded.

Is there any news on this? I monitor some shows with Sonarr, and delete episodes after I've watched them. But the show folder remains, just without video files. If I delete the folder, this means that Sonarr should no longer watch the show and new episodes should not be loaded. So it would be really nice if I could simply hide these series without episodes.

Hi, yes that makes sense. An option is certainly possible.

Hello, new to Emby and have been searching and see this is a mixed bag topic with many wanting empty folder shows to show and others not. I like the poster above use Sonarr and it will delete the episodes, but leave an empty season folder behind. Hope that the option to hide shows with no video files is implemented.
