Episode stills instead of TV show thumbs in 'Latest Episodes' section.

Could the TV Show thumb images be replaced by Episode stills/images, because as u can see... it looks like a series same episode

Surely like the poster said, it's the episode picture if available else the series image? Why have episode pics if not used.

 

I agree it visually looks like all the same which means image is pointless and list of episode names under a series would then be appropriate which means layout changes for that.

 

Perhaps just one series image with a counter on it to show number of new episodes instead? Maybe if you clicked on it it would show episode thumbnail view?

In this context, it is most likely that you have episodes from multiple series.  In that case, determining what the series is can be very difficult from the episode image.  Using the Series thumb in this context makes it easy at a glance.

 

Now, in a different context - like a season or series view - where all the episodes are from the same series, we show the episode image.
