Dizzy49 99 Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Ok, this is an odd one. I travel a lot and I take my Fire TV Pendant with me. I am having this odd issue on my Fire TV, but ONLY on THIS Fire TV. I hava a Cube and 4k Stick at home that do not have have issues. So what happens is at the end of an episode it jumps backwards about midway, sometimes ealier, in the episode... But the autio only. When I back out of the episode it sayys 'Resume from 5:41' (or wherever the audio was). Naturally it doesn't go to the next episode. It's done it mid-episode twice only. It just happened a few min ago, so I uploaded the server log. It's the episode of Bull. I am connected via the hotel Wifi, and the ones at home are hardwired. I have not hooked it up at home to test. embyserver.txt
Dizzy49 99 Posted February 6, 2019 Author Posted February 6, 2019 I attached a ffmpeg file to my other issue, it should have the info for Bull when it skipped on me.
Luke 42078 Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Can you please attach the correct ffmpeg log here as well? thanks !
Dizzy49 99 Posted March 28, 2019 Author Posted March 28, 2019 I'm back at my hotel, and trying to watch some anime. Less than 4 minutes into it, it jumps back about 2 minutes. When I try to resume the subtitles are from where it jumped backwards (2min ahead). I tried restarting the show several times. I even went out and did a Force Stop on Emby, restarted Emby and the show, and it's still screwed up. It's very frustrating. Watching other shows this is just annoying, but it makes anime completely unwatchable. If I watch it on my laptop via the webapp it works fine. Here are a bunch of logs for you: embyserver.txtffmpeg-transcode-2ed31e65-a127-4cdb-bd99-47397f95320f_1.txtffmpeg-transcode-302f0c65-44bb-48e8-92ca-11f327b8cd3d_1.txtffmpeg-transcode-80208a52-68fc-4239-a614-02820d0cb973_1.txt I believe these are from the webapp: ffmpeg-transcode-3c5f442c-1022-418d-8644-672dd765a008_1.txtffmpeg-transcode-d25bf969-bb7d-479d-8238-9492bf583f2e_1.txt

Dizzy49 99 Posted March 28, 2019 Author Posted March 28, 2019 Does turning off QSV make any difference? Is that a server setting, client setting, or? Normally I'd go check the server to see if I could find it before asking, but I just got to work and can't remote in from here.
Dizzy49 99 Posted March 28, 2019 Author Posted March 28, 2019 Server hardware transcoding setting. I'll turn it off when I'm back in the hotel and try again.
Dizzy49 99 Posted March 29, 2019 Author Posted March 29, 2019 Ok, I didn't see anything labeled QSV, but I assume you mean the QuickSync INTEL® Graphics 630. I unchecked it under all of the hardware decode options. I watched 3 anime and 2 45min shows with no skipping or subtitle issues. So I do believe it was the QuickSync hardware decoding that was the issue. TY!
Luke 42078 Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Thanks, please try this again with the next release of Emby Server.
