pcm2a 9 Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 (edited) I am trying to scan strm media but before it can even get to new files to scan it is checking every single file. The slowdown is it is seeing if it can "mount" each file. Why can it not just scan from the filename and move on? 2019-02-05 14:34:02.288 Info App: [LinuxMount] Checking we can attempt to mount [/volumeUSB3/usbshare/VOD/Movies/A.RECKONING.strm], Extension = [.strm], Operating System = [Linux], Executables Available = [True]. 2019-02-05 14:34:11.089 Info App: [LinuxMount] Checking we can attempt to mount [/volumeUSB3/usbshare/VOD/Movies/A.Royal.Christmas.strm], Extension = [.strm], Operating System = [Linux], Executables Available = [True]. 2019-02-05 14:34:20.446 Info App: [LinuxMount] Checking we can attempt to mount [/volumeUSB3/usbshare/VOD/Movies/A.Simple.Favor.strm], Extension = [.strm], Operating System = [Linux], Executables Available = [True]. ~10 seconds per file to check the mount, 3122 files, over 8 hours. The progress also jumps right to 90% and I guess the 8 hours is going to be from 90-100%. Synology D216+, Emby server 4.0.1.0-1. Edited February 5, 2019 by pcm2a
Luke 42077 Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 Hi, that's not going to cause any slowdown. it's more about what is happening in between those logging statements.
pcm2a 9 Posted February 5, 2019 Author Posted February 5, 2019 No additional logging comes out, even with debugging checked.
Luke 42077 Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 Ok, looks like you have all movies in a single movies directory. There is an issue in the current release server causing scan time for this to be very slow. We'll be getting an update out this week to resolve it. thanks.
pcm2a 9 Posted February 5, 2019 Author Posted February 5, 2019 I can easily create subfolders, my local media is in subfolders like this. Will create, try again and report back.
pcm2a 9 Posted February 5, 2019 Author Posted February 5, 2019 I have put them in individual folders and it is now going at a much faster speed of 1-2 seconds and in some cases several in one second. I will keep an eye on it to see how long it takes. 2019-02-05 15:21:21.074 Info HttpClient: HttpClientManager GET: https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=f6bd687ffa63cd282b6ff2c6877f2669&query=Adam.Sandler.100..Fresh&language=en 2019-02-05 15:21:21.374 Info HttpClient: HttpClientManager GET: https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=f6bd687ffa63cd282b6ff2c6877f2669&query=Adam+Sandler+100++Fresh&language=en 2019-02-05 15:21:22.767 Info App: [LinuxMount] Checking we can attempt to mount [/volumeUSB3/usbshare/VOD/Movies/Adrenochrome.2017/Adrenochrome.2017.strm], Extension = [.strm], Operating System = [Linux], Executables Available = [True]. 2019-02-05 15:21:22.771 Info App: MovieDbProvider: Finding id for item: Adrenochrome 2019-02-05 15:21:22.771 Info HttpClient: HttpClientManager GET: https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=f6bd687ffa63cd282b6ff2c6877f2669&query=Adrenochrome&language=en 2019-02-05 15:21:24.231 Info App: [LinuxMount] Checking we can attempt to mount [/volumeUSB3/usbshare/VOD/Movies/Adrift.2018/Adrift.2018.strm], Extension = [.strm], Operating System = [Linux], Executables Available = [True]. 2019-02-05 15:21:24.234 Info App: MovieDbProvider: Finding id for item: Adrift 2019-02-05 15:21:24.235 Info HttpClient: HttpClientManager GET: https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=f6bd687ffa63cd282b6ff2c6877f2669&query=Adrift&language=en 2019-02-05 15:21:25.869 Info App: [LinuxMount] Checking we can attempt to mount [/volumeUSB3/usbshare/VOD/Movies/Affairs.Of.State/Affairs.Of.State.strm], Extension = [.strm], Operating System = [Linux], Executables Available = [True]. 2019-02-05 15:21:25.874 Info App: MovieDbProvider: Finding id for item: Affairs.Of.State 2019-02-05 15:21:25.874 Info HttpClient: HttpClientManager GET: https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=f6bd687ffa63cd282b6ff2c6877f2669&query=Affairs.Of.State&language=en 2019-02-05 15:21:26.173 Info HttpClient: HttpClientManager GET: https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=f6bd687ffa63cd282b6ff2c6877f2669&query=Affairs+Of+State&language=en 2019-02-05 15:21:26.624 Info App: [LinuxMount] Checking we can attempt to mount [/volumeUSB3/usbshare/VOD/Movies/Affairs.Of.State/Affairs.Of.State.strm], Extension = [.strm], Operating System = [Linux], Executables Available = [True]. 2019-02-05 15:21:26.627 Info App: MovieDbProvider: Finding id for item: Affairs.Of.State 2019-02-05 15:21:26.627 Info HttpClient: HttpClientManager GET: https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=f6bd687ffa63cd282b6ff2c6877f2669&query=Affairs.Of.State&language=en 2019-02-05 15:21:28.229 Info HttpClient: HttpClientManager GET: https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=f6bd687ffa63cd282b6ff2c6877f2669&query=Affairs+Of+State&language=en 2019-02-05 15:21:28.627 Info App: [LinuxMount] Checking we can attempt to mount [/volumeUSB3/usbshare/VOD/Movies/After.Darkness/After.Darkness.strm], Extension = [.strm], Operating System = [Linux], Executables Available = [True]. 2019-02-05 15:21:28.632 Info App: MovieDbProvider: Finding id for item: After.Darkness 2019-02-05 15:21:28.632 Info HttpClient: HttpClientManager GET: https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=f6bd687ffa63cd282b6ff2c6877f2669&query=After.Darkness&language=en
pcm2a 9 Posted February 6, 2019 Author Posted February 6, 2019 Took just over 3 hours to scan ~3100 strm files, in separate folders.
