Podcast episodes primary images and sorting

Hi, is it possible to get podcast individual episodes without primary images to pick up the main image from the show itself? Or the same for when I upload an primary image in the 'edit image' right-click options for the podcasts in the overview? 

 

Also, when adding a new podcast feed I would like it to sort by release date (descending) and not name.

Running the latest beta 4.1.0.13 I am missing podcasts in my 'latest media' section on the home screen, it has been gone for a couple of updates.

 

It would be nice to have a section like that inside the podcasts library area as well, that shows the latest episodes from all podcasts combined, similar to what is in TV series library 'suggestion' area for instance.

Latest podcasts working just fine here. Make sure you didn't disable the scheduled task to refresh internet channel content.

That scheduled task is running daily, also ran it manually now. Took 11 seconds, but no difference in the home screen.

Then I would check your home screen settings.

Settings are unchanged since it last worked, so shouldn't be an issue there. I don't remember exactly when, but it started when I did one of the beta release updates in 4.1.0.x

Yes, I have 10+ podcast channels all with working content that plays fine.

 

After updating to beta 4.1.0.15 however, now the podcast library is not showing up at all. All feeds are still there in the podcast plugin 1.1.7.0 backend settings

The Trailers library are also gone from the 'My Media' section on home screen (plugin updated to 1.2.0), so there is something weird going on here.

Podcast and Trailers library are back after updating to beta 4.1.0.16.

 

But there is still no 'latest podcasts' section back in my home screen, trailers are working.

Any updates on showing a feed from all podcasts as single episodes that can be sorted by last date added?

Can you at least have a look at getting the 'latest podcasts' section back to the home screen? They were there before when this was ticked: 

Display in home screen sections such as latest media and continue watching

 

I have tried uninstall and reinstall the podcast plugin, disable and enable the above setting in home screen settings, refresh internet channels (they are present when I'm inside the podcasts library, so there is content)

I have looked at that and it seems to me working fine in my testing. Have you made sure that option is still selected?

Yes, it is still selected. I also tried unticking everything else being displayed at the homescreen so there is only podcasts that is active, it made no difference.

Just for kicks, if you create a new user in emby, can you see the podcasts with that user? make sure to configure their library access. thanks.

No, it's the same. I created a new user, and can access the podcasts library but there is nothing in the latest media section on the home screen. It's the same for all Webapp, LG app, Android app.
