KumarjitDey 102 Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 (edited) What it looks like currently... What I mean... This is more of a suggestion than a feature request. It will only add to the minimalistic look and feel of the skin. Thank you. Edited February 3, 2019 by KumarjitDey
funwithmedia 373 Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 So are you saying to have it work kind of how on some websites images that are off screen don't load until you start scrolling down (only in this case you're suggesting the whole content block, text included, not appear until scrolling down)? That would look lovely, but based on prior threads I've read I think the concern would be that some users would not realize that there is more content and then there'd be needless complaints/requests (eg, there'd be some users that would be like, "You should add Cast & Crew to the detail screen!").
PenkethBoy 2068 Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Yeah - it needs to be there so people know there is more content below Not the only way to indicate there is other content
ebr 16182 Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Yes, there are discussions on this in a few places but this is a well-adopted paradigm at this point. The partial visibility makes it obvious that there is more content to scroll to. The exact same thing is done in the horizontal axis when things scroll that way. Thanks.
KumarjitDey 102 Posted February 3, 2019 Author Posted February 3, 2019 ok. like i said it was just a suggestion. thanks for hearing out. 1
crusher11 1101 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Would something like a down arrow not meet both objectives?
Luke 42078 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 I don't think it will be as effective. I think a lot of people will never scroll down because there would be nothing compelling them to do that.
arrbee99 1815 Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 My preference, as mentioned elsewhere, is to keep the 'Cast & Crew' bit visible as an indicator that there is something below, but make sure that you don't get the top few millimetres of the actual Cat & Crew posters creeping into view.

Yeah this looks really awkward:
Luke 42078 Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 Have you seen this? https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/tvos/visual-design/layout/ All of the platforms have similar design guidelines.
arrbee99 1815 Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 I agree, but the devs say the same, that even with 'Cast & Crew' there, people might not realise they can scroll down, even though it varies depending, I presume, on the length of the movie description.
arrbee99 1815 Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 As a compromise and even though its not the original suggestion, IMHO 'Cast & Crew' alludes quite well to hidden content.
