Gilgamesh_48 1240 Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 First I have fixed this so I cannot reproduce or provide logs. I am reporting it jsut so that in can be fixed if it is a problem or others can be made aware of the fix. I have a series "Criminal Minds" and I have all seasons and episodes. Season 2 is set and structured like this: TV Shows <- Library points here ........Criminal Minds .................Season 01 .......................Shows for season 1 .................Season 02 ........................Criminal Minds - s02e01 - The Fisher King (2).ext ........................Rest of shows for season 2 ........................Criminal Minds - s02e23 - No Way Out (2) The Evolution of Frank.ext .........................after that I had mistakenly placed the one following file ........................Criminal Minds - s07e24 - Run.ext ..............Remainder of Criminal Minds correctly named and formatted and in correct season folders With that setup after I played s02e23 my next up showed s07e24 Even though I mistakenly placed that one S07 show in the wrong folder I would have expected Emby to move on to s03e01 after I played s02e23. The "fix" was easy but I think it should have not been needed as s07e24 was correctly labeled. It was just in the wrong place. If there was a failure of identification then it seems that s07e24 should have simply been ignored. As I said I have fixed the problem. I just thought I would report it.
Luke 42080 Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 Well, the practical answer is put them in the right folder
Gilgamesh_48 1240 Posted February 2, 2019 Author Posted February 2, 2019 Well, the practical answer is put them in the right folder True and obviously the best and correct solution BUT I think that this is a case where Emby "should" be a bit smarter. When ripping, copying and arranging files some mistakes will happen from time to time and this is a case where mistakes are very possible particularly because sevens (7) looks a lot like twos (2) to my old eyes particularly when they are tired. (The eyes not the sevens or the twos.) I do not expect Emby to protect me from my own stupidity or clumsiness but it seems that Emby should not put a misnamed/mislocated file in a season where it does not belong (or screw up the playing order) just because it happens to appear in the wrong directory.
