ibuprofiend 0 Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 Emby is only detecting 1 episode per season, screenshots attached below so you can see the path and the episode naming. Each season shows up properly but only the 10th episode shows in each one but the file being played is not even the 10th file in each folder.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 What do you see in the web client, but ultimately there will be a naming scheme issue for identification. Sample of your naming scheme as Ep.01 gets parsed as episode 100.
Luke 42085 Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 What do you see when you click on that episode?
ibuprofiend 0 Posted February 1, 2019 Author Posted February 1, 2019 I've since changed up the setup and now I'm in the same boat as this guy. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/57151-incorrect-titles/ The folder scheme is /mnt/nfs/data1/anime/series/Dragon Ball Super/Season 1 (Battle of Gods Arc)/ which contains episodes 01 through 014 problem is Season 5 contains episodes 077 - 131 and 101 gets set as season 1 episode 1 even though the folder structure separates them by season
ebr 16190 Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Hi. Your season folders should be named just "Season x". The additional information in that name may be causing a problem. What is the exact file name of the item being mis-identified?
Luke 42085 Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 That season folder naming should be ok. But this is expected behavior: problem is Season 5 contains episodes 077 - 131 and 101 gets set as season 1 episode 1 even though the folder structure separates them by season You will just have to fix it up manually. I have an idea of how to improve this though.
Dizzy49 99 Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 This is a very common issue with Anime. Anime is typically numbered without regard to Seasons. For instance One Piece has like 860 episodes numbered 001 - 860. Every week I have to manually change it to SxxEyy for it to be detected properly. I had some software that would allow me to do it in bulk. It was a real lifesaver when I was doing a major reorg. Emby only connects to thetvdb.com for Anime detection currently. Until it connects to anidb.net or something it will never handle them well. There used to be an Anime add-on, but it hasn't been updated in a while
Ascentw 0 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Any updates or suggestions regarding this issue? Unfortunally, it still happens when the anime has numbers like 001, 002, 003... it recognizes as "season 0"
