Stramm 1 Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 (edited) Hi there, the way how emby displays content within the folder view has changed with version 4.x. Is it somehow possible to get back the old style? A second question... (if it is allowed have two in one topic) After upgrading to 4.0.1 for Linux (Docker), the contents 'date added' db entry of all movies has changed to the date of the upgrade. Is it possible to restore a backup from the day before the upgrade (backup with backup & restore plugin) or do problems arouse as the db layout has changed? Thanks, Thomas Edited January 30, 2019 by Stramm

Stramm 1 Posted January 31, 2019 Author Posted January 31, 2019 Hi there, can you please describe this in more detail? thanks ! The emby folder view in v3.x displayed only the first subfolder level and then all movies in that subfolder or deeper subfolders. eg. I have such a layout main level - media folder 1 content 1 content 2 - media folder 2 - subfolder a content 3 - subfolder b content 4 emby displayed that - media folder 1 content 1 content 2 - media folder 2 content 3 content 4 Emby 4.0.1 shows the folders as they are on the hd. I have each movie in its own folder (as you encourage people to do) and the downsize of showing the full path is obvious, one can't see the 'seen status' when displaying eg. the content of media folder 2. I have to click the folder containing the movie to check if I have seen it. Maybe it's a solution to show the seen status on the folder containing the movie, if that directory contains only one film. Hope you understand what I mean. This sounds somewhat confusing.
Luke 42078 Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 It's something we can look at improving in a future update. thanks.
