Missing "option to display a Collections view"

According to wiki located here:

If you would like to your Emby library to display a dedicated Collections menu, this can be enabled in server display settings.To access server display settings, open the server dashboard, then navigate to Library -> Display.

Then enable the option to display a Collections view.

 

Is there something with my server install if I don't see an option to display Collections view? Running 4.0.1.0 on Win10.

This option was removed awhile ago and now you have a Collection Library that should show on your Home Screen "My Media".  There is a per user option in user preferences-Home Screen to not display this library on your Home Screen.

 

Do you see Collections Library in Dashboard-Library?

That's different. Checking that option will show your collections within the movies view.

Your suggestions made me start looking in Users > Access > Libraries

 

The "Collections" Library has to be enabled checked there first.

 

Now it shows up on the "My Media" section.

 

Please consider removing/editing the misleading wiki, thanks.

For some reason under my COLLECTION icon on the Homescreen,  all the collections have disappeared in the MOVIES view.   They show up under FOLDERS, but when I click on any of the collections, I go to an empty page.

This just happened out of the blue.  I've tried to recreate the Collections on the homepage, but to no avail.  None of the settings discussed in this thread seem to exist in my Mac version of Emby.

Never mind.  After I deleted the Collections Library, it rebuilt itself overnight.   It must have somehow gotten corrupted and the issue resolved by deleting it.  Is this how Emby is designed to work?   If not,  how do you think did this happen?

Hi, now that it's gone, unfortunately it's hard to say. We'll try to find out why that happened. Thanks for reporting.
