tezzlicious 2 Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 (edited) Hi all, I can't find the option to save media to the iOS Camera Roll or share to other apps. I've tried to download some video's first, but it seems this functionality is not (yet) implemented? I'm using the latest iOS beta app with server 4.0.1.0. I wanted to share some family videos that I've recorded this morning through another messaging app, but it seems I have to do this outside of Emby saving them from my NAS through another app? Is that the only way for now? It should be a small step once a video is downloaded to the phone/tablet. Is there a roadmap for the iOS app where we see what features are planned? The camera upload, as far as I'm aware, uploads to the server, not iOS. There are some hop steps and jumps to do that, but it wouldn't be direct through the iOS app that I know of.

I assume it's in the works, but I'm not sure. @@corey might now.
samuelqwe 317 Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 I have a Leef iAccess 3 device that lets you use a microSD card to store photos, videos and files on iOS, so I’d love to see the ability to share downloaded Emby videos to another app. This would especially useful, since my phone doesn’t have much storage and my iPad is slightly too old (iOS 10) to support the feature. So, a way to offload videos would be nice (even if it is no longer in sync with Emby).

It asks me for a path, so wouldn’t my microSD need to be mounted to the server for it to work? I don’t want to have to do that. I can also already download files on my computer and transfer them, but it would be easier and more convenient to be able to share the files from iOS directly.

I see. This could work for the time being, but having the ability to share would also allow me to, for example, AirDrop a video to a family member directly from Emby. Folder Sync is a useable workaround for now, I guess. 1

Thanks guys. Thanks Luke! Will we be able to save to the camera roll from Emby too and/or share to other apps? So often i'd like to save a pic to the phones camera roll to then share via another messaging platform etc. Doing it now via screenshot then share is not ideal and low quality. Cheers!
