KRA 39 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 If I run MBT fullscreen the animation and everything is very slow, feels like maybe 5 fps (not video, just the UI) it seems software rendered, you get the same feeling as you do when doing remote desktop. I just bought the W8.1 app for testing on same computer and everything is silky smooth. This is on a I7 4770 with HD4600 IGP. Is this a bug or normal because MBT is alpha ?
cheshire 8 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Should'nt be normal we havent had anyone mention this issue before. Can you give me more detail? Is it all parts of the UI? How large is your collection? Is your server hosted on the same machine or remotely?
Aphid 212 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 You should not be having severe performance issues with that hardware. The Windows 8 app will always run better on any given hardware than MBT, as the WinRT libraries are far more efficient at rendering and performing animations than the WPF libraries are. More information would be useful in helping us narrow down what exactly is under performing.
KRA 39 Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) All form of movement/ animation feels slow/low framerate server is Remote. Maybe a couple og thousand files. Sliding sideways is stuttering, not smooth. Not problems loading. Just animation not smooth. Please tell If I can provide logs or any other kind of feedback Edited May 2, 2014 by KRA
steelman1991 19 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) I notice the same on an i5-3570k build (Win 7) - which logs would you like in support? Sorry meant to add - around 1500 files and a client/server same location set-up Edited May 2, 2014 by steelman1991
politby 88 Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I think what maybe the OP means is that everything moves in "steps" rather than the fluid motion seen in e.g. MBC. Would be nice to have MBT more like MBC in this respect. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
brad_w 3 Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 i've been experiencing same issue since day 1 of MBT, didn't bother mentioning it as I figured it was just an alpha thing that would get fixed eventually. see alot of tearing of artwork and covers when scrolling through movies, its more apparent on smaller collections such as my tv shows section where there's only roughly 30 to scroll through, but the movies section the animations disappear completely when scrolling through, as there's a few hundred.
