Beating a CoverArt Horse

Yes I searched, Yes I saw it requested many times, No I didn't see a real answer to the requests.

It seems that adding the ability to have custom overlays in the CoverArt plugin is not an easy thing to do. But would it be possible to request additional templates? A lot of my music is from Vinyl albums I've ripped myself (I just prefer the mastering compression for vinyl) and would like to apply a vinyl overlay to a specific folder so as they are shown mixed in with the rest of my music, it's obvious it's a vinyl rip. Perhaps something like this? Even if the distressed look isn't applied, the record protruding from the sleeve would be enough.
