I know we can link to either dropbox or google drive, but i do not know how to access this on roku tv. is there a way to access the contents of my cloud service through the tv without having to leave my pc on. Basically what i am asking is can the cloud service be used a media server so i do not have to have my pc on all the time to act as the server? please let me know

The way it works is you browse the server content like you normally would, and when you play, the apps will automatically play the cloud version assuming they are in a compatible format.
Carlo 4561 Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 The ideal way to use Cloud Sync is for people who run servers on and have low bitrate upload rates but have remote users. For example if you only have 5 Mb to 10 Mb upload rates but have a few remote users you can probably only support 1 (maybe 2) remote users over that upload bandwidth. BUT by being able to sync popular/recently released movies or the latest TV episodes to the could you can support more users. The client will still talk to your server as it usually does. If the user chooses to play back media that you have synced to the cloud the server will use the compatible formatted file from the cloud vs your local copy. Thereby saving this bandwidth which could be used for another user or for uploading more content to the cloud.
