lightsout 156 Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 I have just set up Emby DVR, and I have a folder called E:/DVR. I also have another folder that has many shows archived, this folder has some of the same shows that I am now recording. I have both folders added to my TV Shows library, but the newly recorded shows are in a different section, meaning I have duplicates of the same TV show. Is there a way to make these merge. I have thought of bringing all the old shows to the DVR folder to deal with this. But the issue there is I plan to encode and edit the newly DVR'd stuff, and it would make that more of a pain needing to wade through the old and the new in the same folder.
Luke 42098 Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 You can always point the DVR to your regular shows folder.

Luke 42098 Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Then you could also put the two in the same emby library and take advantage of the automatic series grouping feature.

Can you explain this? Thats what I am wanting to do, and I looked and it was already set, but every show that has recorded I have duplicates of. I ended up just transferring them over to the original folder.
Luke 42098 Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 You just add both folders to the same emby library using emby library setup. That's really all there is to it.
