bayn 9 Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Emby, and those other guys are always used to serve TV and Movie media, and they do those things well. One feature I’ve always loved is that Emby lets me arrange my LARGE load of art videos by folders, typically by the instructor which I use as cover art, then the lesson within their own folders, with art as well and many times within the folder of videos, supplemental images of models, finished works or even PDF’s covering the topics. For me, the “personal media” mantra is alive and well here and I love it. As someone that makes a ton of use out of this, the flexibility that you guys have built in has made it perfect for me. I don’t have to rename things like TV show seasons and being able to make folders/sub folders and show them in a logical way is invaluable. I’ve tried with the other guys but Emby is just flexible and lets me separate critique videos from the lessons or view a high res example in a few simple clicks without being forced into some rigid structure that doesn’t work. I know its all about the latest TV shows and if this movie scraped right etc. I have a large library of both myself. But unlike the other guys, Emby is still flexible and allows me to show my media the way I need to and that is a huge selling point for me. I dont think this is a usual topic around here, so I just wanted to say Thanks for keeping that going all these years. These projects are usually covered in issues and wishlists (I have a few myself) but there are also things you guys do very well and this is one of them. Thanks! 4
