Luke,   I used chrome browser to save an incredibly long password, and of course, now it refuses to cough it up when logging in. Thus, I sent a request to reset said password, only to have it be rejected by Emby when trying to log in with new password. Is there any way to get through this conundrum, or must I start over as a completely new user??  Also, should my login be as an insecure or a secure website, eg. http or https? As you can see, I am completely confused by this behavior.....

Hi there, what does "cough it up" mean? Why not just use the forgot password function?

Yes, that's exactly what I did. Chrome's password storing obviously does NOT work well, at least with Emby. After resetting the password, Emby still refuses to let me in my own Emby server, which is really just a URL, no? I guess this stuff is too far over my head. I thought the idea of these media servers was supposed to simplify all of this?

Can you explain exactly what you did? thanks.

I guess this is too difficult for me. I wish I would have selected 123456 as a password, because when I reset my password, then try to load Emby in Chrome, it  says that login is rejected.  Is it not possible to do this, or must I use one of the mobile apps to login?

It looks like when I updated to the new 4.0.0.x release, the install failed.  It gives me an error, not sure if from your installer, or from Windows, saying 'could not move system directory to backup'.  Have you ever seen this error before? Maybe that's why it wouldn't let me login, as no Emby server was running.

@@cybersco50 can you try rebooting your machine? Then install the latest from the web site after that. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !
