silverbeetle 3 Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 Hi Emby Team, I'm a recent Emby convert and am loving it! One thing I've found no one had done well to date was handle large Music Video libraries and Emby seems to be on track to have a great offering here. I noticed in the release notes for 4.0 the following: Add tabbed layouts for music videos and home videos Could you clarify what this is and how it is used, I've not been able to find any info either online or digging through the setup options. What I'd ideally want is a way to categorise my music video collection where I have Promos (single song music videos), Concerts, TV Appearances, Bootlegs... Is there a way to apply these sort of categories? In MY ideal world Music Videos would have tabbed options with the default being browse by Artist. In artist you'd have matching vids in the categorised as mentioned above (maybe a scrollable sample with a view all option). Back to the tabs you'd have each of the above categories included for browsing. I could mock up some ideas if it'd help to clarify.
Luke 42083 Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Hi, it simply means that when you click on the library you get two tabs up top: One tab for all videos, the other to browse by folder. I agree an Artist tab would make sense. 1
silverbeetle 3 Posted January 23, 2019 Author Posted January 23, 2019 Thanks for responding/clarifying the tabs. Any suggestions for the best method to categorise the Music Videos? eg Promos (single song music videos), Concerts, TV Appearances, Bootlegs
Luke 42083 Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Right now folders are really going to be the only way to do that. Or genres. We can add a Genres tab to the music videos section.
