Cry7T0 1 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 With emby working flawlessly for years, since the 4.x update, the library does not update when new folders and files are added to the monitored folders.- Windows Server 2016 Essentials- Library folders:R:\AV-MEDIA_library\01 MoviesR:\AV-MEDIA_library\02 Movies SDR:\AV-MEDIA_library\03 TV-SerienEvery movie has an own folder, folder naming convention: \movie name (year)I even added a new media library, on a different disc and inserted one folder with a movie into it,also no reaction at all. I slammed the 'scan all libraries' button many times now, also gave emby lots of time to process - nothing.'Enable real time monitoring' is checked.emby gives me no errors and works smooth as always. What I also tried: I removed all files from a folder with an already tagged movie, meaning the jpg files and the nfo. If I do so, emby almost immediately recreates the nfo and later also the jpgs. So the folder monitoring seems to work, it just ignores any new content.Any help would be appreciated.Enjoy your Sunday!
Luke 42085 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Hi there, apologies for the inconvenience. How have you set this up in Emby library setup?
Carlo 4561 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 If you look at the log file and search for one of your new media files, what do you find?
Cry7T0 1 Posted January 20, 2019 Author Posted January 20, 2019 Thanks a lot for your quick reaction! Hi there, apologies for the inconvenience. How have you set this up in Emby library setup? I actually checked und unchecked every single option, but with no effect. If you look at the log file and search for one of your new media files, what do you find? Nothing, the names of the new media files did not appear there.Anyway, I just created a completely new directory on the disc, created again a new library, which pointed to the new directoy and added some new files to it - et voila - this new library started to show the new content!I then moved all movies from the folder which was causing problems to the new folder: emby started discovering this content and it even tagged the already played files properly(or at least most of it, from what I can see...)!Then I removed the old library and its folder from the disc. So in the end I still have no idea, what went wrong with the previous library and/or folder, but as long as this works with the new one, I don't care. 1
