Lifetime Lizenz nur für ein major Relese oder alle ??

Hallo

 

Ich wollte mir die Lifetime Lizenz holen. Jetzt bin ich etwas verunsichert. Bei Reddit gab es eine Diskussion daß die Lifetime Lizenz nur ein major Release enthält also Aktuell Version 4. Für die Version 5 müßte man dann wieder bezahlen. Hier ein Auszug von Reddit

Just an update, not sure if its been noticed.

Prior to the date, premiere lifetime stated this.

"Lifetime Term: Lifetime shall mean the current major version of the Emby server software or twenty-four months, whichever is longer. (E.g. The Emby server software is currently at version 3.XXXX. A lifetime subscription shall be valid until Emby server software reaches version 4.XXX or twenty-four months, whichever occurs later.)"

It now states this.
"Lifetime Term: Lifetime shall mean the entire period in which the respective product, services, and/or features, as indicated below and updated from time to time, are offered for license."

So if you had concerns with the previous terms and misleading usage of the term "lifetime". You can put those to rest now.

Lifetime ist wohl wirklich lifetime jetzt. Das hat man mehr oder weniger heimlich geändert, vermutlich um mit der Konkurrenz gleichzuziehen. Ist erstmal gut für den Kunden, ob es auch langfristig gut ist, steht auf einem anderen Blatt. Wie man bei Plex sieht, braucht man dann irgendwann vielleicht neue Einnahmequellen.
