docker pull emby/embyserver:latestdocker run -ti emby update

Yes. I just ran docker run -ti emby/embyserver update

[s6-init] making user provided files available at /var/run/s6/etc...exited 0.
[s6-init] ensuring user provided files have correct perms...exited 0.

[fix-attrs.d] done.
[cont-init.d] executing container initialization scripts...

[services.d] done.
ifelse: fatal: unable to exec update: No such file or directory
[cmd] update exited 111
s6-svscanctl: fatal: unable to control /var/run/s6/services: supervisor not listening
[cont-finish.d] executing container finish scripts...
[cont-finish.d] done.
[s6-finish] syncing disks.
[s6-finish] sending all processes the TERM signal.
[s6-finish] sending all processes the KILL signal and exiting.

No you didn't, these are not the official instructions. Instructions are to pull the latest image from docker hub, there is no need to run update inside the container whatsoever.

I read the manual at https://hub.docker.com/r/emby/embyserver

This did not solve the problem.

"Upgrade
The command used to install should also be used to upgrade:
docker pull emby/embyserver:latest"


Solution: Remove docker container and create it again

Right but you don't run that from inside the container.
