redaktorn 23 Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Hi, I noticed an error message since updating to new server. It is the task "check for aplication updates" that gives an error message. This is a little strange because this item has (since updating) disappeared from "Scheduled Tasks". So, I am not clear about how the error message can appear? Is it correct that sever version 4.0.0.2 have removed the scheduled task to check for updates? (It was under "Apllication" before in scheduled tasks) What might cause the error message? Gratefull for any help. Redaktorn P.S: I am running the server under Linux Mint 18 (Mate) and have no other problems.
Luke 42083 Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Hi there, try restarting the server and see if it happens again. Thanks.
redaktorn 23 Posted January 19, 2019 Author Posted January 19, 2019 Hi Luke, Thanks for reply. I have tried that. Several times actually the past 2 days. Makes no change. Messages are not on regular basis. The last one was today 12.34 p.m. The one before 17 January 4.37 p.m. Maybe it just random/temporary since server has worked hard with scannings after update. I let you know if the errors continue. P.S: Is it correct that the scheduled task has been removed in version 4.0.0.2. ? All the Best Redaktorn
Luke 42083 Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 The task is there, just not configurable. It will run every 24 hours and on system startup.
redaktorn 23 Posted January 19, 2019 Author Posted January 19, 2019 OK - Thanks. Then I know that. I will let is pass some days and see if error messages continue. Redaktorn
redaktorn 23 Posted January 19, 2019 Author Posted January 19, 2019 Hi Luke, I just found out that this was not an important problem :-) By shutting down EMBY and restaring I found out that problem is connected to that I auto-start EMBY in Linux mint. If I reboot I get an error message - but if I just shut down service and start again I do not get an error. (~ $ sudo service emby-server stop, $ sudo service emby-server start) So, it seems that EMBY is auto-starting quicker then the network from a reboot. Not really a problem. Nothing to worry about. Thanks for trying to help. Redaktorn All the Best Erik Linder
Luke 42083 Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Ok so it's starting too early. Thanks for the feedback.
