smills 13 Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 A couple of questions regarding the Convert functions on my recordings. 1. Is there a way to set a default so that it always defaults to replace/tv/orignalquality ? 2. Is there a way to automate that other than setting up a custom DVR post processing script/command? The baked in conversion works good for my purposes as I really just want to go ahead and convert it away from a .ts so I dont have to transcode when playing on my Nvidia Shield TVs. But I dont want to have to go ahead and manually telling to record every single recording independently after the recording is finished. Would be great if I can just set it to do that automatically for me - perhaps in the recording Series Settings. Otherwise liking 4.0 and it seems to be working well. -Uisge
Luke 42085 Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 1. Is there a way to set a default so that it always defaults to replace/tv/orignalquality ? The dialog should remember your last selection. If you're not seeing this then I'll have to double check that and make sure it's still there. Thanks. . Is there a way to automate that other than setting up a custom DVR post processing script/command? Yes, what you can do is setup the conversion job on a parent folder. It will then process any new media added to that folder.
smills 13 Posted January 19, 2019 Author Posted January 19, 2019 I just setup several converts via the web interface (chrome) and it definitely did not remember the To: or Profile. Where in the interface/UI do I set a convert job on a "folder"? If it matters, windows server 4.0.0.2, web client interface via chrome or Nvidia Shield client.
Luke 42085 Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Ok thanks for the info. Where in the interface/UI do I set a convert job on a "folder"? Right click or 3-dot menu -> Convert
smills 13 Posted January 19, 2019 Author Posted January 19, 2019 Where/how can I see the list of folders that are setup to autoconvert new content? And what the settings are? And edit those settings?
Luke 42085 Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 In the server dashboard under Download & Sync. It is a generic interface handling multiple features. It's something we need to improve, but it is all there.
