Carlos.E.Arita 0 Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 (edited) I have a HDHR Prime and a specific channels fails to play when I cast it to a Chromecast and an Nvidia Shield. The channel is 1538 BEIN. It plays fine on mobile phones. Other channels cast fine as well. This channel has also given me issues when using the Emby App on Nvidia Shield. I have uploaded the logs. The relevant information should only be the last 10 minutes to present in the logs. embyserver.txt ffmpeg-remux-a0d7dc5a-0604-4790-845a-cb5e2e9fca9a_1.txt Edited January 18, 2019 by Carlos.E.Arita
Luke 42085 Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Hi, are you able to play this channel in the web app?
Carlos.E.Arita 0 Posted January 18, 2019 Author Posted January 18, 2019 Hi, are you able to play this channel in the web app? Yes it works on the Web App fine, however I did noticed that the video looks interlaced.
Luke 42085 Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 What exactly happens with Chromecast? Does it play at all and then stop? Or does it just never start? 1

Luke 42085 Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 I assume if you lower the chromecast quality setting to force a full transcode, then it will play, right? It's a shame we're not able to catch this error and automatically switch to transcoding. But clearly, we are passing the original video stream because it looks like Chromecast should be able to handle it, but then it can't and this is what happens.

Also, a side question. Is there a way to only show Video Chromecast in the list of available device to cast to. I have many Audio Chromecast that serve me no purpose. Thanks.
Luke 42085 Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 In the apps playback settings. Try clicking on your user icon in the top right.
Carlos.E.Arita 0 Posted January 20, 2019 Author Posted January 20, 2019 In the apps playback settings. Try clicking on your user icon in the top right. I see it, Setting it to 1080 8Mbps seems to work fine. Thanks Is there a way to only show Video Chromecast in the list of available device to cast to. I have over 10 Audio Chromecast that serve me no purpose in the Emby app. Apps like Youtube only show the Video Chromecast. Thanks
Luke 42085 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Currently there's no way to filter the list, but it's possible we can add settings for that in the future. Thanks.
