sergiu91 0 Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Hello guys I have a problem with my Emby server. I use my laptop as the server, and Xbox as a client. It used to work fine, but now I cannot connect to the server when the server is connected to the router by cable, only on wifi. It wouldn't be a problem, but on wifi some videos really stutter, sometimes even freezing. I cannot connect by manually entering address or with Emby Connect. I see the server when I start the app, but when I try to connect, I get the "Connection Failure. We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again." I don't think the problem is with the server, as I have no problems connecting on my phone. Any help would be appreciated.
Luke 42077 Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Hi, when you manually connect by ip address, are you sure you're using the correct server address? Where are you getting that from? Further, are you certain the xbox even has an active network connection?
sergiu91 0 Posted January 17, 2019 Author Posted January 17, 2019 I can see the server as soon as I open the app, but I get that error when i try to connect. I don't have this problem on my phone, which is connected to the same wireless network as the xbox. I am getting the address from the server dashboard, both In-home and remote, and also by connecting through Emby connect, with a PIN. It happens both in the app and when I use Edge to connect. It has a connection, as i can see the server.
