bigverm23 2 Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 (edited) I have Emby server running as a docker container, using Traefik as as reverse proxy. Both port 8096 and 8920 are exposed in the container, with Traefik using port 8096. Neither are open on the firewall as Traefik only needs 80 and 443 to operate. I am able to browse to my Emby server at https://emby.domain.net without issue. My issue is trying to connect to the server either with the Roku client or Android client via LAN. Once I click Sign In With Emby Connect, nothing happens and the app just spins, never connecting. I have my user profile connected (in the server) to my Emby Connect username. In Expert > Advanced settings Allow Remote Connections To This Server is checked. From the Roku/Android client, my server is shown but when I click on it to connect, nothing happens and just spins - same behavior as trying to connect via Emby Connect. Can someone help? Luke 42080 Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Hi, what kind of SSL cert are you using? You will need to be using something that Roku (and others) will accept. Roku will not accept a self-signed cert and there's no way for us to override this.
bigverm23 2 Posted January 17, 2019 Author Posted January 17, 2019 Let's Encrypt. For comparison purposes, I use Plex Server in the same manner and have no issue with LAN connections via Roku/Android
Luke 42080 Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Does the server dashboard display the correct local and remote addresses? You could try removing the Lan networks filter.
bigverm23 2 Posted January 17, 2019 Author Posted January 17, 2019 Local address displays as Traefik proxy address, which I guess is correct, and remote displays correctly, as far as i can tell. I will try removing Lan and report back.
