Unable to connect outside of my computer

Version 4.0.0.2

 

Since yesterday I've been unable to connect to emby outside of my computer. My phone nor my roku will connect. Same thing with remote connections, those don't work either. I've opened the port in my firewall but that didn't change anything.

 

Syncthing, software that syncs data both locally and over the internet, works fine.

Hi, I assume these devices are all on the same network, right?

 

Does your server dashboard display the correct local network address? Thanks.

I'm not sure what that means. The In-Home address is a different number than the IP address I use to connect to my router to change settings.

Should be noted that I get the following error on my roku, I'm not sure if it helps:

 

-7: Failed to connect to 10.8.0.2 port 8095: No route to host.

Ok, let's start with this. When you connect manually by entering the server address, what address are you entering?

The one the dashboard tells me. 10.8.0.2:8095

Hi.  Did you change the default port for Emby?  Because the default is 8096

No. A week ago or so it changed on it's on volition to 8059, had to fix my tabs after.

 

Just changed it back in the settings, reset emby. The URL on the dashboard changed to my router, seems to work now.

I can promise that Emby did not change your port setting, however I am glad to hear that you're able to connect now.
