jimbobjones 13 Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Did you run a library scan? If you have run a scan and folders are still not ignored then please discuss an example. Thanks. hey Luke, just so you know a library scan did not fix it. However, moving the folder out, re-scanning, and putting it back in the same directory it was previously in (and doing another scan) meant that it's now acting as it should.
Luke 42078 Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Can you please go over an example? Thanks.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 The issues I observed with .ignore are resolved in beta 4.1.0.3. 1
maximumentropy 24 Posted February 24, 2019 Author Posted February 24, 2019 I'm on 4.0.2.0 stable. Do I need to switch to beta to see this fix? Thanks!
maximumentropy 24 Posted February 24, 2019 Author Posted February 24, 2019 I mocked up a directory structure showing a movie, plus an additional folder called "Extras" which contains a .ignore file. I would expect this to result in just the movie "Rain (1932)" being added, but it also adds "Extras (2001)". $ ls -laR Rain\ \(1932\)/ Rain (1932)/: total 8 drwxrwx---+ 1 user group 0 Feb 24 14:05 . drwxrwx---+ 1 user group 0 Feb 24 14:05 .. drwxrwx---+ 1 user group 0 Feb 24 14:04 Extras -rwxrwx---+ 1 user group 0 Feb 24 12:18 Rain (1932).mp4 Rain (1932)/Extras: total 4 drwxrwx---+ 1 user group 0 Feb 24 14:04 . drwxrwx---+ 1 user group 0 Feb 24 14:05 .. -rwxrwx---+ 1 user group 0 Feb 24 12:18 .ignore drwxrwx---+ 1 user group 0 Feb 24 14:04 VIDEO_TS Rain (1932)/Extras/VIDEO_TS: total 4 drwxrwx---+ 1 user group 0 Feb 24 14:04 . drwxrwx---+ 1 user group 0 Feb 24 14:04 .. -rwxrwx---+ 1 user group 0 Feb 24 12:18 VIDEO_TS.IFO

Luke 42078 Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Without the ignore file, are they properly recognized as extras?
Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 (edited) Without the ignore file, are they properly recognized as extras? As the movie "Extras (2001)", a dvdrip in the extras folder. .ignore file is not honored in extras folder in these situation. Also applies in beta. Edited February 24, 2019 by Happy2Play
Luke 42078 Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Ah right ok, so this requires the combination of the extras folder and a dvd rip underneath that. Thanks. 1
aws1971 2 Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 I got a few TV shows that are already scanned in my library, and i just found out this option and was hoping it would work. What i did. Added a .ignore to my tv/serie folder refreshed/rescanned my library in the server gui. checked in the server if the series vanished but they are still their. Anything else i need to do ? Running: Version 4.1.1.0
Happy2Play 9780 Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 @@Happy2Play are you able to reproduce that? Unless it is OS related no. Placing a ".ignore" file in the series folder removed it from TV Shows/Mixed content libraries after library scan.

aws1971 2 Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 i found the problem, as usual it was on my side the error. i made a little mistake when mounting the path inside the container. Info LibraryMonitor: Skipping realtime monitor for /shared/media/tv because the path does not exist. i mounted /shared/media to /shared in the container so that's why it errored. after fixing this and restarting the container it worked. sorry to bother you guys with this
